In a word - Commitment.
The important benefits when you do business with MKI are:
MKI has 20+ years experience, superb service, quality assurance to reduce complaints, a fully trained professional staff and a unique management interface that is available to you and your staff. More than anything else, MKI commits to do the job right!
In addition, MKI has a proprietary "KOLLECT-IT" software and a 32 user SCO-UNIX based system for collecting and recording all data related to your accounts.
MKI has a complete array of insurance for the protection of our clients including, professional liability, general liability, workers comp, collection agency bonding and fidelity bonds etc.
Not only does MKI provide bonding but has a full set of security measures "in house" to insure that only the proper people are actually handling your money. All monies are deposited to our trust account.
That is a difficult question. Most clients place accounts on a contingency fee basis i.e. we get paid only when we collect. Some special services are on a flat fee basis. The final rate depends on the age of the accounts, volume and dollar amounts placed. All accounts over one year old are at higher rate. The earlier you place accounts the better rate we can give you for your accounts and the better recovery you will get from the collection effort..
Normally, most clients just call us or fax us the info either daily or weekly, at a minimum. Also an easy way to communicate with us is to send an email or an online form that you can fill out. See HOME page for contact info or click forms on the menu.
See HOME page for contact info including our 800 number for out of town clients or just email us.
Most accounts are worked actively for 6 to 12 months from date of placement. We also often get a match within our collection system, at a later date, from new info and then can proceed on your account.
We don't know to be honest.
It depends on the age, account type, balance and the amount of information provided by the client as well as the prior collection efforts. The average is 15%. The range is from 1% to 50%. As you can see, we can't really tell you. We do assure you that we will work your account to the fullest extent possible.
It depends on how much you want to collect. Older accounts will result in a drastic reduction in the dollar recovery for your business.
Most clients make an export file from either Microsoft Access, Excel or their database software. Contact us and we will help you set it up, if possible. It normally does not take a computer expert to make an electronic data transfer file to our offices. It does require some effort to set it up in the beginning but it pays big dividends for both of us later because it becomes an automated process that can be run monthly or weekly etc.
Name, address, city, state, zip, balance, date of service / sale or last date of payment, guarantor (if any), place of employment, home phone, business phone, relatives, credit info etc. It is helpful to have the most information available in order to the best job for you. You can also contact us and talk to our marketing representative. Please see the HOME page for the phone number.
